The film is influenced by our modern obsession for nostalgic photos, HAL, and the Beetlejuice attic.

We focussed on the aesthetic of the film, rather than a traditional narrative. The HBG album (and this track) meld the digital and analogue so well, and that’s something we’ve tried to echo with the visuals.

Poster for a Nat Baldwin gig. I wrote a simple program using Processing that makes a slightly abstracted version of an image using triangles — the typeface is the widely tweeted ‘Cassannet’ by Atipo.

Creative Review got in touch last year and asked me a variety of questions (for their Jan 2012 / Music issue) about the work we do for Constellations. Having read the magazine since I started studying it’s a real honour to be included. It’s out now so pick up a copy / read it in the newsagents if you get a chance!

Turned 30. Awful seasickness with a load of other puking designers on a fishing boat off Brighton. Sacked a client. Moved back up North. Attempted to walk across the Alps but my knees disagreed. Performed VJ set alongside my fave band of the year — SBTRKT at Leeds festival. Got married to Jennifer!!! Impromptu large scale firework display at 2am! Constellations projections and newspaper came together after a lot of hard work. Phew! Work published in Creative Review (Jan 2012 edition). Wow! Worked with and for lots of great people this year, it’s been absolutely amazing, here’s to another one!

Some stills from a music promo that’s in the works… It’s our take on the age old conundrum of unrequited interplanetary love.

Using projection mapping techniques, lots of space footage, and around eighty paper lanterns, we created animated planetariums that sat above the stages as the bands played.

The stage sets were well received by bands and festival goers alike, receiving favorable coverage in reviews of the event. Production / setup shots on Flickr.

We’ve been out with a kite and a camera again. Using a homemade Picavet suspension was an improvement on the last attempt. Now all we need
is some fecking wind (or a helicopter)…

Eagulls are my favourite band of the week. I saw them play at Constellations the other week and I enjoyed it immensely. This is my fave track of theirs on Soundcloud. Lap it up.
